Keeping the RCL Skills Alive!

| Since the beginning of 2007, more than 60 National Leasing people have participated in the Results-Centred Leadership program. Not long after graduating, the first “alumni” group was looking for ways to keep their personal leadership development momentum going. Their quest led to the implementation of Keeping the Skills Alive - a sort of
continuing education for leadership development, and a great way to gain more return on a learning investment.
RCL facilitator, Estelle Rochon Fraser, has led Keeping the Skills Alive (KSA) sessions on three different modules to help managers refresh and hone their skills. The first KSA session was a review of Goal Setting. RCL grads agreed this was one of the more powerful tools they gained from the course. The second KSA topic was Coaching for Success with specific focus on the elements of an effective One-on-One. In September KSA sessions were held to review the Change Management module. The timing couldn’t have been better. National Leasing was about to move into a new building. The session reminded participants of the profound impact leadership can have on the successful outcome of change. In all cases participants’ feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and they have indicated an enthusiasm to continue to keep their RCL skills alive. There will be more KSA sessions in the future and perhaps the implementation of the Results-Centred Teamwork module on Goal Setting to all members of the company.
